The Faithful had questions, and I've got the answers.
Each week throughout the season, fans will have the chance to submit their questions on social media or SMS, and I'll answer them here in this dedicated Q&A series. It's an opportunity to hear directly from the Faithful and highlight the storylines you care about most.
The 49ers finished the 2025 regular season 125 as the NFC's sixth seed. San Francisco pulled off an upset over the Philadelphia Eagles on Wild Card Weekend, and now the focus shifts to the Divisional Round, where the 49ers will take a short trip north to face the No. 1 seed Seattle Seahawks. San Francisco looks to make another statement on the road and keep its championship run alive. Let's dive into your questions!
Q: What's your favorite moment against the Seahawks? @49erfaithful509
The Seahawks-49ers rivalry has delivered countless memorable moments. My all-time favorite? The stop seen around the world. LB Dre Greenlaw's goal-line stand in 2019. Then a rookie, Greenlaw made a perfect fourth-down stop on Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister in the final seconds, sealing a 2621 win and clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. My favorite moment this season? Week 1, when TEJake Tongescaught the game-winning touchdown in Seattle. Trailing 13-10 late in the fourth quarter, QBBrock Purdyled an explosive drive, hitting WRRicky Pearsallfor 24 yards before finding Tonges for a four-yard score with under two minutes remaining. With TEGeorge Kittlesidelined for the Divisional Round, another big Tonges moment in Seattle could very well be in the cards.
Q: Hi Bri, what color jerseys are the Niners wearing? @a_cool_nupe
Against the Seahawks for the second round of the postseason, the Niners will be in their standard white uniforms on Saturday. Gold helmets, white jerseys, white tights, and gold pants.
Q: Which players do you think will be X-factors for us in this game? Charquilla M.
One name to watch is Bay Area native Tonges, a reliable backup to Kittle who finished the season with 34 catches for 293 yards and five touchdowns, has proven he can deliver in big moments. Wide receiverDemarcus Robinsoncould once again play a major role after stepping up last week with six catches for 111 yards and a touchdown while Pearsall and Kittle were sidelined. Defensively, I'll have my eye on rookie linemenC.J. WestandAlfred Collins, as stacking strong performances against the Seahawks WalkerCharbonnet run game combo will be critical in this matchup.
Q: Hi Briana! Since this is the third time we're playing Seattle this season (and the rubber match!), how does the team approach a familiar opponent differently in the playoffs? Marcos S.
Facing a familiar opponent in the postseason presents a unique challenge, and head coach Kyle Shanahan acknowledged that familiarity works both ways. "We know each other very well. We've played against each other a ton," Shanahan said, noting that the schemes didn't change much between Week 1 and the most recent matchup. While some situational wrinkles are always expected, Shanahan emphasized that playoff preparation often becomes simpler. "You definitely can't overthink it," he said. "The playoffs as a whole are kind of that way too."
Q: What matchup do you think will decide this game most? Eddy M.
One of the biggest battles will be the 49ers offensive line versus the Seahawks defensive front. That matchup will largely determine whether RBChristian McCaffreycan operate at full capacity. TTrent Williams, who missed the Week 18 loss against Seattle, gives San Francisco a massive boost in the trenches. Without Williams in Week 18, the 49ers were limited to 180 total yards; with him in Week 1, they totaled 386 yards in Seattle. His presence is a huge factor for this offense, and how the line handles Seattle's front could potentially decide the game.
Q: Watch party this Sunday? @fernandoramirez_gt

Q: What has been the most memorable moment covering the 49ers this season? Melissa H.
Honestly, the most memorable part of this season has been watching 49ers fans take over on the road. Whether it was the usual NFC West spots like Seattle, Los Angeles, and Arizona, or farther trips to New Orleans, New York, and Indianapolis, the Faithful showed up in a big way every single time. You could feel their impact in the stadiums. The noise, the energy, the red everywhere, and no matter the city, it always felt like family.
