The Faithful had questions, and I've got the answers.

Each week throughout the season, fans will have the chance to submit their questions on social media or SMS, and I'll answer them here in this dedicated Q&A series. It's an opportunity to hear directly from the Faithful and highlight the storylines you care about most.

The team is gearing up for their third-consecutive primetime contest as they host the Seattle Seahawks in Saturday night's Week 18 matchup at Levi's Stadium. With the NFC West title, the conference's No. 1 seed, and home-field advantage on the line, this winner-take-all game carries huge postseason implications. Let's dive into your questions!

Q: What's the team's focus going into Saturday? @chillinwithmelo

The focus is on getting the job done against the Seahawks, and in return, earning every possible advantage heading into the postseason. Head coach Kyle Shanahan shared the team's mindset earlier this week, "Everyone's goal is to win a Super Bowl and in order to do that, I would say it's easier to win three games than four games," he said. "You'd always rather play at home, no doubt about it. I think in football, out of all sports, home-field advantage is the biggest advantage because I think crowd noise truly affects the game in terms of pass rush and things like that. But, the main thing is just it's one less game. I'd love to be home. That's our goal. If that doesn't work out, we're excited to go on the road too."

With the NFC West title, the No. 1 seed, a first-round bye, and home-field advantage on the line Saturday night, the 49ers are locked in on handling business at Levi's Stadium and putting themselves in the best position possible for the postseason.

Q: Are you excited to see the 49ers wear the Rivalries jerseys for the first time this season vs. Seattle? @beentheredondatt

Yes! Saturday night against Seattle is the perfect stage to debut the Rivalries jerseys. With it also beingFan Appreciation Night, the energy at Levi's Stadium will be next level. Fans are encouraged to wear black, arrive to the stadium early (when gates open), and get loud to celebrate the rivalry and the Faithful. Everyone in attendance will receive a Rivalries rally towel presented by SAP, with hundreds of additional surprise giveaways throughout the night, including gift cards and Rivalries gear, thanks to our partners.

Q: What makes the team chemistry so good? @matt_ortega714

The 49ers locker room has clicked since report day, and the energy and focus has especially been on a high during the team's six-game win streak. President of football operations and general manager John Lynch has built a team where no player is seen as "just a backup," and that has shown up all season, especially with a defense that's battled significant injuries. Players are ready when their number is called because they're prepared and empowered to step in, and it elevates the entire group. When everyone is invested, having fun, and ready for their chance, chemistry follows.

That opportunity-driven mindset has created real connection in the locker room. As WRKendrick Bourneshared, "We've got a strong locker room. We're having fun right now, the energy is perfect... People are understanding that there's opportunity out here to make your name. With big players going down, this is where other players are created. So, are you ready for the moment?... A lot of us are understanding, 'Hey, this is my moment. If I can seize this moment, then it's it's going to be good for my career, my life.' And then that breeds winning. So, I think that's what's been powerful so far."

Q: What is TTrent Williams' status? @brandpiano522

Williams is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game against the Seahawks. Williams did not practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday while dealing with a right hamstring injury, though head coach Kyle Shanahan said the veteran has made progress throughout the week. Shanahan added that Williams has been able to test the hamstring in a limited capacity, and if he's medically cleared and feels confident he can get through the game, the team will have him available.

Q: Besides QBBrock Purdyreturning, what has made the difference in the teams success? Obviously the return of Brock has added to it. But what else if anything has contributed to the atmosphere lift? Been a fanatic since day 1! Born to a family of 9er fanatics. Myron K

I'd have to say that getting Purdy back was certainly one of the biggest game-changers. Purdy returned in Week 11 against Arizona and immediately elevated the offense, throwing for three touchdowns and 200 yards. That Cardinals game also marked the first time Purdy and TEGeorge Kittlewere back on the field together since Week 1, reestablishing one of the offense's most important connections and opening things up for the rest of the unit.

There have been a few other areas that have contributed to the 49ers recent success, with special teams emerging as a legitimate weapon. The unit has consistently created advantages through field position, explosive returns, and dependable kicking. Contributions from players likeSkyy MooreandLuke Giffordhave created game-impacting plays all season, taking on the fast and physical identity of the offense and defense. "I've been really proud of our special teams this year," Shanahan said. "I think they're playing really well as a unit in all the phases, not just one in particular. I think our returners have gotten better. We've gotten better at blocking for them. I think our punter, our long snapper, and our kicker are playing at high level... I give a lot of credit to those guys for pulling that off."
