In partnership with Safeway, the Seahawks spent the week addressing food insecurity across Alaska. The Seahawks helped assemble meals with Kids Kupboard and helped the organization raise $12,000 and reach their donation foal for the Food Bank of Alaska, which amounts to 24,000 meals.

Katie Schrooten, marketing and communications manager of the Food Bank of Alaska said, "That's no small feat, especially during summer when donations tend to dip as folks head out on vacation. Your generosity, visibility, and hands-on support helped shine a much-needed light on hunger in Alaska, especially during this critical time with changes to SNAP. You helped bring more people into the mission, both as supporters and as neighbors who now know where to turn for help."

The impact continued with a $100,000 Nourishing Champions Grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska with Seattle's own nonprofit run by Seahawks Legends, Doug Baldwin, Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, Champions of Change. Blitz also distributed 500 pairs of shoes through Kicks4Kids. Altogether, the Seahawks made a lasting mark across the region.
